Jerusalem Grooves
Stay tuned, Jerusalem Grooves will be "On Air" soon!
Host - Yitzchok Meir Malek
Yitzchok Meir Malek is a musician n' singer who can pull strings, guitar,
mandolin, banjo and bass strings too. He has already performed for over
6,000 Israeli soldiers in the Old City of Jerusalem where he resides.
When playing for the IDF, he talks to them about peace between different sects in Judaism - "That peace starts in the heart, family, neighborhood, city, state, country and then without."
He distinguishes a difference few recognize - "Agreement and love aren't in the same box, you can disagree and still love."
Yitchok Meir also plays in the cafes and bars of Jerusalem with his music partner and co-host, Yerachmiel Ziegler, as the duo "Think Twice," singing harmonies while covering Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles and the like.
He is mainly into writing and arranging his own music, which he believes is all from G-d as everything is.
Host - Yerachmiel Ziegler
Yerachmiel's music stems from the deepest roots of tradition while
touching all realms of modern culture. With a repertoire ranging
across folk, rock, a cappella, world, pop, metal, klezmer, and
bluegrass, he attracts an eclectic audience all around the globe.
Growing up in New York, Yerachmiel began performing at an early age and then went on to entertain in venues such as Central Park and Greenwich Village. His experience performing with great talents such as Shlomo Carlebach, Matisyahu, MBD, and Avraham Fried, Soulfarm, Moshav Band, Blue Fringe, Pey Dalid, and Aaron Razel, has further enabled him to deliver a captivating performance time and time again.
Yerachmiel's on-stage presence creates the perfect balance between soul-searching and entertainment. Currently, he is living in Israel and playing with Yitzchak Meir in the band "Think Twice" and runs a recording studio in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Nachlaot.
